Sometimes you just need to pull out the toys for your kiddo. I personally love arts and crafts toys since they provide the sensory development aspect AND it doesn’t hurt that my daughter loves getting her fingers into anything artsy. That being said though, those easy “pull out of a closet and play” toys are also amazing when you really just need to get that last load of laundry done. Enjoy!
- These Magnetic Building Blocks are awesome and super easy to travel with. They also keep older kids entertained for an added bonus when needed!
- Stacking blocks! Dump these Melissa & Doug Wooden Building Blocks out and let them enjoy the fun of building towers.
- The ever fun
Play Doh … though I despise that it gets intocarpet (post on cleaning this to come soon!), it is a great sensory activity and helps little hands with fine motor skills. Try some fun kits like the below to get you started!
- Paint, paint
and paint! Messy but oh the memories you make and the fun presents for grandparents you can do for little money! Side note – always make sure the paint says washable or that new cute top will be a goner.
- Why not add some pre-K learning
in to the day when you can? This set of magnetic letters and numbers is fun and always entertaining with the dual side of chalk and dry-erase.- Go the next step up too with this great Melissa & Doug Deluxe Double-Sided Tabletop Easel
- A classic and again, easy to put out and great for imagination, Mega Bloks are an easy option and can also be fun for practicing color sorting!
